A lonely fishing boat plies the turbulent waters of the Columbia River Bar, also known as the Graveyard of the Pacific due to how many ships this wild stretch of water has claimed over the centuries. Plumes of salt laden spray shoot skyward from the ragged waves, and fierce currents tug insistently on the keels of all vessels that pass through this gauntlet of terror.
Captured with the Nikon Z9 and Nikkor Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S. I shot in DX crop mode and used cropping creatively in Adobe Premiere. I used a Benro Tortoise tripod with a gimbal head to achieve smooth and stable panning shots.
