New flowers appear, bloom and subside into the cascading torrent of fresh green leaves so that from day to day the forest floor changes with shocking alacrity. Here in the deep and cool woodland realm the sound of birds mingles with the susurration of a warm breeze that heralds summer, and the soft patter of misty rain that brings such ebullient life.
