In the Shadow of the Earth - 2019 Super Blood Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse

I managed to get some good footage of the eclipse in between the drifting clouds and through the thickening fog! Unfortunately during the darkest moments of the eclipse the fog got extra thick and the sky went completely blank (and the night incredibly dark). It wasn't until it was was already partially bright again that the moon reappeared. With the very cloudy/rainy weather I feel very lucky to have been able to capture any photos or video at all!

The eclipse is especially incredible if you consider the incredible physical forces behind the phenomenon.

4.603 Billion years ago a nuclear reaction of incomprehensible proportions roared with terrifying power into existence.

4.543 Billion years ago cosmic debris, colliding with titanic force assembled by invisible forces into a nascent sphere 92.96 Million miles away from that nuclear reaction.

4.530 Billion Years ago this sphere collided with its brother sphere, and from this cataclysm was born a smaller sphere orbiting the larger sphere.

The sun has burned for 4.603 Billion years. The Earth has orbited that sun for 4.543 Billion years, and the Moon has orbited the Earth for 4.530 Billion Years.

If you are lucky, you may witness the cumulative achievement of this heavenly dance of forces beyond the ability of the human mind to imagine.

Of a span of time the notion of which our primitive monkey brains can’t begin to grasp.

For the briefest flicker of time, the moon will be swallowed by the earth’s shadow and cast into crimson twilight.
